Where and when to watch Nicola Sturgeon's lockdown announcement later today

Nicola Sturgeon will give an update on the latest coronavirus restrictions in an address at Holyrood later today.

The First Minister is expected to confirm the areas that will move to level one restrictions from next Monday.

More people are allowed to meet outdoors in level one, while the numbers allowed to attend certain events - such as weddings and funerals - is increased under the rules.

Hospitality venues are allowed to open for longer, with closing times limited to 11pm every evening.

But a number of local authority areas could miss out on the next stage of easing as concerns continue to grow over the April 02 variant.

Glasgow is expected to move down to level two this Saturday, with a decision set to be made no later than tomorrow.

When will Nicola Sturgeon make her announcement?

Nicola Sturgeon is due to address MSPs at the Scottish Parliament at sometime between 2.15pm and 2.30pm this afternoon.

The meeting of the Parliament is scheduled to start at 2pm according to the Holyrood website.

Where can I watch?

Scots can watch Nicola Sturgeon’s announcement live on the Daily Record Facebook page.

A special coronavirus broadcast will start on the BBC Scotland and BBC One Scotland channels at 2.15pm this afternoon.

The Scottish Parliament TV website will also be showing the address.
