Where almost 600 new coronavirus cases were reported in Nottinghamshire

Almost 600 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Nottinghamshire in the last 24 hours, new data shows.

559 cases were reported in Nottinghamshire on Sunday, January 24, according to Public Health England statistics. This is down slightly from Saturday's figure of 598 positive cases.

The city reported 153 new cases, while Mansfield and Ashfield also saw large rises with 95 and 88 cases confirmed for each.

The latest figures were published by the Government at 4pm on Sunday, January 24.

Across the county, not including Nottingham city, a total of 42,440 cases have been recorded since the start of the pandemic. Nottingham has recorded 25,014 cases.

Here is the latest area-by-area breakdown:

Ashfield - 7,263 (increase of 88)

Bassetlaw - 6,138 (increase of 58)

Broxtowe - 5,616 (increase of 51)

Gedling - 6,390 (increase of 35)

Mansfield - 6,087 (increase of 95)

Newark and Sherwood - 5,457 (increase of 45)

Nottingham - 25,014 (increase of 153)

Rushcliffe - 5,489 (increase of 34)
