Where 194 new Covid-19 cases were recorded across Nottinghamshire in 24 hours

A further 194 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded across Nottinghamshire during the last 24 hours.

In the city of Nottingham, a total of 57 positive tests have been recorded.

Elsewhere, outside of the city, a further 137 cases of coronavirus were recorded in the latest data published by the Government.

Outside of the city, the largest increase was recorded in the district of Bassetlaw with 37 new cases.

The figures were published by the Government at 4.17pm on Tuesday, December 8.

It comes as the first Covid-19 vaccines have been given out at Queen's Medical Centre and King's Mill Hospital on Tuesday December 8.

Don Colley, 87, became Nottingham University Hospitals' first patient to be given the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine at Queen's Medical Centre.

Ann Allen, 81, of Sutton-in-Ashfield, was a physiotherapy assistant at King’s Mill Hospital for 27 years, and is the first patient from Sherwood Forest Hospitals to have the vaccine.

The total number of cases recorded in each borough and district of Nottinghamshire, with the number of new cases in brackets.

Ashfield - 3,733 (increase of 24)

Bassetlaw - 3,953 (increase of 37)

Broxtowe - 3,475 (increase of 8)

Gedling - 3,623 (increase of 21)

Mansfield - 3,085 (increase of 17)

Newark and Sherwood - 3,152 (increase of 21)

Nottingham - 17,509 (increase of 57)

Rushcliffe - 3,418 (increase of 9)
