Where 1,585 new coronavirus cases have been reported across Nottinghamshire in the last 48 hours

A total of 1,585 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded across Nottinghamshire in the past 48 hours, according to the latest available data.

Between 4pm on Monday, January 18 and 4pm on Wednesday, January 20, Nottingham city recorded the most new cases at 332.

Mansfield followed with 186 new cases.

The north of the county continues to record the most new cases each day, while the entire county has now recorded a total of 40,594 cases upon a rise by 1,252 since Monday.

The national picture shows the January lockdown is started to have an impact on the number of new cases, however it is likely the full extent of fatalities as a result will likely not be know for a while yet.

A total of 1,820 deaths were recorded today across the country.

Ashfield - 6,933 (increase of 186)

Bassetlaw - 5,841 (increase of 95)

Broxtowe - 5,372 (increase of 112)

Gedling - 6,170 (increase of 99)

Mansfield - 5,723 (increase of 154)

Newark and Sherwood - 5,257 (increase of 106)

Nottingham - 24,206 (increase of 332)

Rushcliffe - 5,298 (increase of 102)
