When will you get Taylor Swift presale and access codes for Eras Tour - and what to do if you don't get one

It’s a monumental day for Taylor Swift fans as they eagerly await to receive vital information from Ticketmaster that may give them a leg up in grabbing tickets to her tour. The star is taking her Eras tour to the UK, and if you’re a Swiftie, you’ll know trying to get your hands on a pair of the much desired tickets is no easy task.

While the Anti-Hero singer has snubbed Manchester in her 2024 international tour, the singer will be performing in Liverpool's Anfield Stadium, Edinburgh's BT Murrayfield Stadium, London's Wembley Arena and the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Tickets for general sales for these locations will take place between July 18-20, superfans will have registered in advance on Taylor’s Ticketmaster site before June 22. Now, they will find out today (July 5) whether or not they have secured the precious “on-sale code” or placed on a waiting list.

Here’s everything you need to know about Taylor Swift tickets

Why are Ticketmaster contacting fans today?

Emails today will tell fans if they have been successful on early registration. Fans who get that email today, which will be coming from the promoter AEG Presents, will be given information on the concert date they have signed up for.

I got accepted for registration - but the code isn’t in my email

The unique access code will come in a separate email before the ticket sales begin so fans are told not to panic if they don't get this in the email today.

When should I expect my access code?

If you are selected to receive an access code, you will receive an email before the ticket sales begin. This email will include timing details and a link to where the on-sale will occur, and your unique, non-transferrable access code.

Event promotor AEG said all registrants will receive an email from either Ticketmaster or AXS confirming their selected/waitlist status by 11.59pm on Friday, July 14.

What happens if I get waitlisted?

If you’re waitlisted, it means you’re still in with a chance of getting an access code. If you move off the waiting list, you will receive an email containing your access code details and where to access the relevant on-sale.

Keep in mind, your notification may come at any time after ticket sales begin as per the schedule above. When notified, your email will include:

  • A link to the on-sale
  • Your unique access code
  • Watch your email – if there are SMS delivery issues, such as an incorrectly entered mobile number or network issues, you will be emailed your access code details.
  • Purchasers are held to a ticket limit of four.
  • Note that getting off the waitlist does not guarantee access to tickets. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis while currently available inventory lasts.

Can I transfer my access code to someone else?

No, codes are non-transferable and should not be shared. Codes are also only valid to purchase up to the advised ticket limit, subject to availability.

Ticketmaster have said they have done the Taylor Swift ticket sale in this way to "filter out buyers looking to resell tickets."

"Ticket Sale Registration is being used to filter out buyers looking to resell tickets and prioritise genuine fans like you, ensuring that tickets go directly into the hands of those who truly want to attend the show," a Ticketmaster spokesperson said.

"It’s also important to note that Ticket Sale Registration does not guarantee access to the sale, or to tickets.

"We expect there will be more demand than there are tickets available, meaning only a limited number of fans will gain access to the sale. The system will then work on a first-come, first-served basis."

Is there any other way of getting tickets early?

If you bought the Midnights album last year between August 29, 2022 and October 27, 2022, you will be able to get tickets early from Monday (July 10) for the UK dates. Pre-sale will begin on Monday, July 10 at 10am with ticket sales staggered over Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for different shows.

People who signed up for the Midnights presale should get an email confirming their presale access between July 6 and July 7.
