When will the Wales team to face France in the Rugby World Cup quarter-final be announced?

So we now know five of the line-ups for this weekend’s mouth-watering Rugby World Cup quarter-finals.

But the question is when will Wales reveal their team to face France in Oita on Sunday?

The answer is 4am UK  time on Friday, October 18, which will be midday out in Japan.

WalesOnline will be bringing you news of the team as soon as it’s announced, so set your alarm clocks.

It’s expected that fly-half Dan Biggar (head knock), centre Jonathan Davies (knee) and wing George North (ankle) will all be fit to take their places having returned to training this week.

The main selection issue surrounds the back row, where one of Josh Navidi, Aaron Wainwright, Justin Tipuric and Ross Moriarty will have to miss out on the starting line-up.

On the bench, it’s likely to be a choice between Owen Watkin and Leigh Halfpenny for outside back cover, while Nicky Smith and Rhys Carre are contesting the back-up loosehead spot.

France will also reveal their line-up on Friday, amid injury doubts over star men Antoine Dupont and Damian Penaud.

Fellow quarter-finalists England, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and South Africa have all declared their hands, with the Springboks going a day earlier than the other Sunday sides.

England coach Eddie Jones has opted to keep fly-half George Ford - one of their best performers in the tournament - in reserve on the bench, with Owen Farrell starting at 10, as Manu Tuilagu and Henry Slade link up in the centre.
