The Edinburgh Christmas markets are open and attracting locals and visitors alike.
Edinburgh Christmas 2021 has turned the city into a winter wonderland with markets, food stalls, a Santa Land and attractions throughout the city centre.
For the first time since 2018, Edinburgh has welcomed back an outdoor ice rink.

The ice rink can be found on George Street and even has a couple of stalls you can skate up to.
The opening weekend of the Christmas markets saw thousands of people attend and the attractions remain busy.
But if you still haven't managed to visit yet, there is still time.
When do Edinburgh Christmas Markets end?
The Edinburgh Christmas Markets in East Princes Street Gardens are open until January 4 2022.
The Santa Land in West Princes Street Gardens are also open till January 4 2022. Although Santa's grotto will be gone from December 24, as the big man himself will be busy delivering presents, some rides may still be open.
However must attractions wrap up on January 2 2022.
The bumper cars, Christmas tree maze, Forth 1 Big Wheel and the Waltzers all finish on January 2 2022.
So we suggest if you want the full Edinburgh Christmas experience, worth heading to the city centre before the 2nd.

What are the Christmas opening times for Edinburgh markets?
The markets are open 10am-10pm apart from the days surrounding Christmas and Hogmanay.

- December 25: Closed
- December 26: 12pm - 8pm
- January 1: 12pm - 8pm
