Superhero fans will be delighted to learn that a new series based on several of DC's best-loved characters will hit the BBC soon.
Superman & Lois is described by Sue Deeks (Head of Programme Acquisition) as "an ambitious and involving new superhero series – one we are sure will intrigue and excite not just existing fans, but BBC viewers of all ages."

The series (set in the Arrowverse) will show us much more of the inter-family dynamics of Clark Kent, Lois Lane and their two teenage sons, Jonathan and Jordan.
The BBC tell us that, "After years of facing megalomaniacal supervillains, monsters wreaking havoc on Metropolis, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the pair come face-to-face with one of their greatest challenges ever - dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today's society."
Alongside this, the pair will also have to contend with whether one of their sons is developing Clark's powers, as well as meeting a whole host of old friends upon their return to Clark's hometown.
The BBC also tell us that "Superman and Lois' return to idyllic Smallville is set to be upended when both a mysterious stranger (Parks) and impassioned self-made mogul Morgan Edge (Rayner) enter their lives."

When will Superman & Lois season 1 be available on BBC One & iPlayer?
The BBC state that the first series of the show will begin on BBC One on Saturday 4 December, with all 15 episodes also being made available on BBC iPlayer.
