When will McDonald's start to serve breakfast again?

McDonald’s has finally reopened drive-thrus across Merseyside, but there’s one thing putting fans off visiting.

There are many changes in place at the newly reopened McDonald’s in order to protect staff and customers, including Perspex screens, face masks and social distancing measures for staff.

One of the changes also includes a smaller number of staff on site at one time, meaning there’s only so much they can do.

To help with this, McDonald’s has limited its menu - and breakfast is off the table.

There are several iconic McDonald’s items missing from the menu, but the famous Sausage and Egg McMuffins and hash browns are the most sorely missed.

So, when will McDonald’s be bringing back its beloved breakfast?

In a previous statement sent to customers, Paul Pomroy, McDonald’s UK and Ireland CEO, said: “Over the coming months, we will explore how to extend the menu, increase our opening hours and reintroduce those much-missed McMuffins at breakfast.”

However, he did stress that McDonald’s would only do so very cautiously and guided by information from the Government and health officials.

He added: “Working with our employees, franchisees and suppliers I want to ensure we only move forward to the next stage of reopening at the right time, when we are confident it is safe for us to do so.”
