It's going to be a while until we see the sun again in Greater Manchester.
In recent days the region has been battered with heavy rain and unfortunately it looks set to continue.
On Monday morning there will be the odd shower at first.
The showers will begin to dry out, leaving a breezy morning.
There will be a peek of sunshine later this afternoon, accompanied by easing winds.
Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 17C.
Overnight it will turn cloudier with the odd spot of rain possible at times, with temperatures dipping to 10C.
Heavy rain will arrive on Tuesday morning from the west and linger through the afternoon.
It will feel cool, with temperatures reaching highs of 14C.
Forecasters have said Wednesday and Thursday will be more or less the same, with outbreaks of rain throughout both days.
However, things are set to improve by Friday.
According to the Met Office website, Friday looks drier and brighter with sunny spells although there could still be the odd shower around.
By the weekend it is expected to be cloudy, although temperatures are expected to increase slightly.
It is also expected to be dry for those in the North West.
Forecasters have said to expect highs of 18C on Saturday and 20C on Sunday.
A statement on the Met Office website said: "Cloudy for many with showers, these heaviest in eastern parts where the winds may be stronger also.
"Becoming largely dry in western areas with some good spells of sunshine."
