When will it stop raining in Wales?

It's fair to say the weather has been miserable in Wales for quite some time.

If it hasn't been raining it's been unsettled, grey and showery and summer seems a distant memory - but are things set to improve any time soon?

According to the Met Office, it doesn't look that way.

Wednesday, October 9 will still see lots of scattered showers even though there will be some sunnier spells throughout the day.

Maximum temperatures will reach 15°C.

Even though Thursday, October 10 will start brighter and drier, rain will move in to some parts of the country later in the afternoon along with strengthening winds.

It's also set to remain unsettled for the majority of the weekend.

A spokeswoman for the Met Office said: "Today (Wednesday) is a case of showers and sunny spells.

"Anywhere could be at risk of seeing some showers across Wales but there will be some brighter spells too - especially towards the east on higher grounds.

"It's going to be breezy too.

"The showers will ease overnight and throughout tomorrow (Thursday) we are going to see a cooler day and outbreaks of rain throughout the day.

"Temperatures throughout today and tomorrow are looking at around 13°C-14°C.

"As we go into Friday we have another band of rain across southern parts of the UK.

"Over the weekend there will be more rain in the forecast, but it's looking less windy as we move through the weekend."
