When will Foals play Cardiff and Swansea in 2021? New dates announced as coronavirus pushes gigs back again

Indie rock band Foals have been forced to push back their Welsh tour dates due to coronavirus.

The band were originally due to play at Cardiff Castle and Swansea's Singleton Park in 2020 but then both of those dates were rescheduled to May 2021.

Now the new dates have been pushed back several months with Foals due to play in Cardiff Castle on Thursday, August 12.

The new date for the Singleton Park show is Saturday, August 14.

The band said ticket holders will be contacted by their ticket agent about the new dates.

On Twitter, the band said that a number of their other gigs in England and Scotland have been pushed back to 2022.

In a statement, they said: "First off we hope everyone is doing OK - not long now until better times.

"Unfortunately the covid restrictions in place for the coming months will mean that we can't go on tour this May as scheduled.

"However, we are delighted to tell you that we've been able to re-schedule the tour to April/May 2022 (in England and Scotland). This definitely feels like a case of third time lucky!"

Foals have been active since the mid-00s and, to date, they have released six studio albums. Their latest - Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost - Part 2 - came out in October 2019 received widespread positive reviews and hit number one in the UK charts.

With the coronavirus pandemic bringing lockdown to Wales for a third time, some events that were postponed to 2021 have already been pushed back to next year.

And some have sadly been cancelled.

Many organisers have now revealed rescheduled dates which we have rounded up for you.
