When will Dublin nightclubs like Dicey's and Copper Face Jacks finally reopen?

Since March 2020, Dublin nightclubs like Dicey's and Coppers have been closed to the public due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Last week, Taoiseach Micheal Martin revealed the timeline for the full removal of all remaining restrictions currently in place.

From September 6, the likes of weddings can now have up to 100 guests as well as live music and cinemas and theatres can operate at 60% capacity if everyone is either fully vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19.

October 22 marks the end date for all Covid 19 restrictions currently in place. This is all based on the vaccination rate surpassing the 90% barrier for over-16s.

This means that the likes of Coppers and Dicey's will finally be allowed to reopen without having to enforce any capacity limits or curfew on October 22.

There will be no requirements for physical distancing, mask-wearing outdoors, no limits on indoor capacity, no restrictions on high-risk activities like nightclubs etc.

The need to show a vaccine pass or a negative test result will also be removed before nightclubs reopen.
