When will Cristiano Ronaldo play for Man Utd again? The likely date for second debut

Manchester United have signed Cristiano Ronaldo for a second spell at Old Trafford, hoping the five-time Ballon d'Or winner can add momentum to their new Premier League campaign.

Five-time Champions League winner Ronaldo leaves Juventus and joins up with his former club where he became a global superstar.

The 36-year-old Portugal international is set for a warm welcome back at his old stomping ground.

But when will that be?

Well, there are a few potential dates Ronaldo could make his second United bow.

It's pretty much a given he will not be available for Sunday's clash against Wolves this weekend.

Then comes the international break, so the first available match after Portugal duty is on Saturday, September 11 , against Newcastle United.

That's subject to fitness and any niggles or injuries he may sustain ahead of that clash, but if he is fit and raring to go under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer then that looks like the likely date to make his comeback in a United shirt.

United then face West Ham on September 19 before facing the Hammers again in the EFL Cup on September 21, returning to league action on September 25 against Aston Villa.
