Waiting to stream "Captain America: Brave New World"? Well, we finally have Disney Plus release date — and there's not long to wait.
The first reactions to "Captain America: Brave New World" were positive, but as more reviews poured in, it became pretty clear that Sam Wilson's latest MCU outing hadn't quite landed with a lot of moviegoers.
As of our latest update, the movie has a 48% critics' rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making it one of the lowest-rated Marvel movies on the platform to date. At least Marvel's "Thunderbolts*" seems to have things back on track?
Given the less-than-stellar early reactions, I wouldn't be too surprised if many would-be viewers skipped seeing "Captain America: Brave New World" in theaters back in February and have been waiting to see Sam Wilson's new movie land on the Disney streaming service.
With that in mind, here's what you need to know about the "Captain America: Brave New World" Disney Plus release date.
When is 'Captain America: Brave New World' coming to Disney Plus?
After its theatrical run earlier in 2025, the MCU movie came to Premium Video-on-Demand (PVOD) platforms like Amazon on Tuesday, April 15.
On May 13, Disney confirmed "Captain America: Brave New World" will be available to stream on Disney Plus from Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
That means, as of the time of writing, we've only got to wait two more weeks before Sam Wilson soars onto our TV screens.
It also means my estimated "Captain America: Brave New World" streaming release date wasn't too far wrong, either.
Based on the usual wait for Marvel movies, I assumed that the new "Captain America" movie would likely be available to stream from May 14, even though the movie was not originally part of Disney Plus' May 2025 listings.
That guess was based on the fact that Marvel's 2023 features — "Quantumania", "The Marvels" and "Guardians of the Galaxy 3" — all took 89 days to come to the Disney streaming service, from their theatrical release.
However, this official release date means we'll have waited a total of 103 days between the movie's Feb. 14 theatrical release and "Cap 4's" Disney Plus debut.
That puts it more in line with "Deadpool & Wolverine", which took 109 days to come to streaming.
