When West Ham fans can watch Pablo Fornals in action for the first time after €27m move

Pablo Fornals is a West Ham player after penning a five-year contract in east London for a fee believed to be €27m from Villarreal, with the option of a further 12 months.

The 23-year-old is West Ham's second most expensive player of all time behind last summer's capture of Felipe Anderson for a club-record £42m from Lazio.

The Castellon-born player has already made more than 150 senior appearances and will join up with Manuel Pellegrini's squad after representing his country at this summer’s UEFA European U21 Championship finals.

And that is where Hammers fans who might not have seen Fornals in action before will get the chance to do so - and you won't have to wait long either.

Fornals' Spain side are in action against hosts Italy in Bologna on Sunday night at 8pm and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, as will the whole tournament.

The Spaniards are in action again on June 19 when they take on Belgium in their second group A game in Reggio Emilia at 6.30pm and then three days later take on Poland back in Bologna.

Should Spain make it through to the semi finals of the competition, they will be back in action on June 27 and the final will be held in Udine on June 30.

Fornals is expected to play a very prominent role for the Spanish U21 side alongside the likes of another reported Hammers target Dani Ceballos.

To see him in a West Ham shirt though? The earliest opportunity could be the friendly against Altach in Austria on July 11 though he will likely be given some extra time off following his international commitments so his debut could well be against Manchester City on July 17 in Nanjing, China.
