The Premier League fixtures for the 2021/22 season were announced on Wednesday as Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Arsenal all learned who they are set to be lining up against during the early weeks of the campaign.
Spurs have a tough assignment to kick off with as they host reigning champions Manchester City, whilst Arsenal face newly-promoted Brentford away from home on the opening day.
Elsewhere, Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea are set for a London derby to begin the campaign as they take on Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.
With some intriguing assignments on offer for each of the London clubs in the early weeks of the campaign, fans will understandably want to know if those fixtures are set to be moved for television broadcast.
So, when will supporters know if those fixtures have been selected for TV coverage?
It is set to be a prompt announcement from broadcasters and the league relating to the first few weeks of the campaign.
Following the agreement of a new broadcast deal with broadcasters, the likes of Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon Prime Video and BBC Sport are set to show 200 live games throughout the campaign.
The £4.7b deal was a rollover of the current agreement and is set to run for three years.
As a result, the televised fixtures, except BT Sport’s selections, are set to be announced imminently.
Meanwhile, BT Sport make their TV selections for the August and September fixtures on Monday July 5.
Fans then will have to put that date in their calendar if they indeed intend to attend the matches throughout the early months of the season.
