Millions of people will be using Britain's roads this weekend, with thousands flocking to the South West for the long weekend.

The Easter break brings with it chaos on the roads in and around Bristol, particularly on the M5.

Caravanners, cars piled high with camping equipment and traffic jams are all a common sight on the motorway - and today (Good Friday) it will be the most congested road in the west country

Somerset Live reports Dan Croft, Incident Group Operations Manager at INRIX, said: “We are predicting Good Friday will be the worst for traffic from late morning into the afternoon.

"For drivers looking to avoid the worst congestion, the best options are to travel on Saturday, set off early in the morning and keep updated with real-time traffic data.”

Best time to travel: Before 9.30am or after 7pm

Worst time to travel: Between 11am and 4.30pm
