When the Carabao Cup quarter-final draw will be made as Everton and Liverpool progress

The draw for the Carabao Cup quarter finals takes place on Thursday morning at 8.45am during BBC Radio 2's breakfast show with Zoe Ball.

Liverpool booked their place in the quarter finals after a penalty shootout win over Arsenal following a thrilling 5-5 draw at Anfield. Everton eased through after beating Watford 2-0 on Tuesday night.

Former Liverpool goalkeeper David James will also be in the studio after his appearance on BBC1's Strictly Come Dancing and said he was looking forward to taking part in the draw.

He said: "I have so many great memories of the Carabao Cup and I’m proud to be part of the history of the competition. Every year it’s always an exciting competition to watch, so I’m looking forward to seeing how my old clubs get on."

Other notable fourth-round matches include Chelsea vs Manchester United and Manchester City vs Southampton.

The quarter-final fixtures will take place week commencing December 16.
