When the Bolton Wanderers retained list could be announced

Bolton Wanderers are full steam ahead with planning for life in League One after sealing promotion back to the third tier of English football.

The Whites secured their place out of League Two with a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Crawley Town last weekend as Ian Evatt's side went back to League One in style.

Now that the season is over for Wanderers with their future next season set in stone and not having to navigate the play-offs, Bolton can fully plan for life in the third tier.

Several clubs up and down the country whose seasons have come to a conclusion have already announced their retained lists.

It confirms details of which players are under contract for next season, those who have had their deals extended automatically due to a clause, those who remain in negotiations with the club over a new deal, and players who will be released this summer, as well as loanees returning to their parent clubs.

Several players in the Wanderers squad have deals which run out this summer.

Some of these, in the case of Alex Baptiste, Lloyd Isgrove and Shaun Miller, for instance, were signed last summer under Ian Evatt as one-year deals.

There are also other players - including defenders Ryan Delaney and Harry Brockbank - who signed deals before Evatt arrived at the University of Bolton Stadium and are due to run out this summer as things stand.

Evatt will be speaking with his players on Monday for a debrief on the season and discuss individually with each of them plans for next season and to out of contract players if they are to be offered new deals or not.

The retained list could then be announced next week at some point after the players converned have been informed of their future next season will be at Wanderers or not.
