When Swansea City's new kits will be revealed, where you can buy it and the historic reference behind it

Swansea City will reveal their new kits for the 2019-20 season next week.

Kit launches are always highly anticipated, with supporters eagerly awaiting confirmation from the club over the date.

This year's Joma strip will be revealed to fans on Wednesday, July 3 at 9am.

And there is a special message behind this campaign's kit, with a nod to the city's history.

It says on the club website : "The release will be exactly 50 years to the day that Swansea as a town was officially granted city status when Prince Charles made the proclamation on the steps of the Guildhall on July 3, 1969, as part of his investiture tour of Wales.

"And the Swans will be helping to celebrate the 50 years with special recognition of a key date in Swansea's history."

As a teaser, Swansea have released some shots of the training gear, which is neon green in colour.

It could give a hint to the away strip for the 2019-20 campaign, with last season's bright orange colour scheme mirroring the second strip.

You can buy the kit from the club shop at the Liberty Stadium or online.
