When Spurs fans will be allowed back inside Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and who they will face

Tottenham Hotspur now know their fixtures for the 2020/21 season.

Just a matter of weeks after Spurs' season came to a close, attention has turned to next season.

We now know Jose Mourinho's men will kick off their campaign at home to Everton on September 12, and they will wrap up the season away to Leicester City on May 23.

Currently, fans won't be allowed inside stadiums to watch the fixtures with the precautions to prevent the spread of coronavirus continuing from last season.

But with the situation seemingly improving - albeit slowly - there is hope that fans can return this year.

In fact, supporters may be allowed back into stadiums by October, according to Boris Johnson, who has said: "From October we intend to bring back audiences in stadiums. in a COVID secure way subject to the successful outcome of pilots."

That would mean the earliest fans will get the chance to see a Tottenham game in-person would be October 17 when Spurs welcome West Ham United to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It would be earlier, but they are away to Manchester United on October 3 before the top two tiers pause for the international break.

The caveat of fans returning is that, even if the proposed plan does go ahead, the number of fans allowed into the stadium is likely to be drastically reduced.

Nevertheless, it would be a huge boost for Spurs and their rivals to get some sort of support back in the stands sooner rather than later.
