When Shah Rukh Khan was trolled for making AbRam pray to Lord Ganesha

Actors have been propagating secularism for a long time by setting examples from their own homes.

We have many celebrities in Bollywood who, irrespective of any religion, is seen celebrating all the festivals with zeal and pomp. However, there is always a section of society that is simply not happy with it.

One such instance was when Shah Rukh Khan had shared a lovely picture of his younger son AbRam praying to Lord Ganesha at home. He had captioned it saying, "Our Ganpati ‘Pappa’ is home, as the lil one calls him".

In the picture, the little Khan boy is seen standing in front of the Ganesh idol with folded hands. While some appreciated the superstar’s secularism, a section of society called him out for celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi by calling it a "sinful act." Some also urged people to "unfollow him" saying, "Shame on you", to SRK.

However, Shah Rukh was not perturbed by any of these things. He continued to follow the tradition of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi at home, even the next year and the year after that.

In an interview, when SRK was asked to comment on the religious haters, he said that he truly believes traditions and religions are all very personal. According to him, children and grown-ups should be left to learn it themselves.

The actor added that his parents introduced him to everything. It was a refugee colony where he lived. So his parents used to be equally happy if he used to go to Ramleela or for Eid celebrations. According to him, that way, you learn and respect and love each other because you learn each other’s religion on your own. The superstar also hoped that his children do the same. His memories and his thinking is this for them.
