When Sabri Lamouchi will manage his first Nottingham Forest game

New Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi will not be in charge for the Reds' first pre-season match at Alfreton Town today (Saturday).

Lamouchi replaced Martin O'Neill just minutes after the latter was sacked on Friday, just five months after taking over from Aitor Karanka.

But, as Forest begin their preparations for the 2019-20 campaign at the Impact Arena (3pm), it will not be the former Rennes boss in the dugout.

Instead, it will be Under-23s coach Jimmy Gilligan taking the reins, but the new Reds boss will be at Alfreton to watch his side in person and take stock.

Lamouchi is set to oversee his first game on July 2 against Dundee, when the Reds travel to Spain for a training camp.
