Ever since The Fantastic Four: First Steps arrived in theaters, Marvel fans have been wondering when it could make its streaming debut on Disney+.
The short answer is: we don't know. However, anyone who wishes to watch the first Marvel Phase 6 movie at home will be able to do so in the near future. Indeed, First Steps is coming to digital stores on September 23 so, if you can't wait for the superhero movie to land on one of the world's best streaming services, you'll be able to rent or buy it shortly.
As for when The Fantastic Four: First Steps might join Disney+'s movie library, I'll offer my prediction on that front later in this article. Before you proceed, though, read my review of The Fantastic Four: First Steps to see if it's worth investing your time and money in.
'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' Disney+ release date prediction
The Fantastic Four's latest big-screen adventure only launched on July 25. So, as I outlined in this article's introduction, it still doesn't have a Disney+ release date yet.
In my view, it'll be another month or two before it's released on the platform, too. Thunderbolts*, which made its theatrical debut on May 2, didn't join Disney+ until August 27. That means 117 days passed between its initial theatrical release and its Disney+ debut. Meanwhile, Captain America: Brave New World, the first of three Marvel films that dropped this year, took 103 days to land on Disney+ following its arrival in cinemas worldwide.
If we use these figures as a basis for First Steps' Disney+ arrival, it'll be at least 100 days before Marvel releases the last of its new movies for 2025 on the platform. The earliest that Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) flick is likely to arrive, then, is November 2.
That said, new Disney+ movies usually drop on the service on Wednesdays. Theoretically, then, First Steps could be released on November 4, 11, 18, 25. My best guess? A pre-US Thanksgiving air date is the most likely scenario, with November 11 or 18 being the best time for it to come out.
Can I rent or buy 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' on any other streaming services?
Yes. Well, fairly soon, anyway. Disney has confirmed The Fantastic Four: First Steps will land on a variety of online stores on Tuesday, September 23.
That includes premium video on demand (PVoD) platforms like Amazon, Apple TV, Sky, and YouTube. You'll have the option to rent it for a couple of days or add it to your digital movie collection.
What is the runtime for 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps'?
One of the best Marvel movies (of recent years, anyway) clocks in at just under two hours. Indeed, its official runtime is one hour and 54 minutes.
