Manchester United will make an announcement confirming Daniel James' arrival from Swansea City later today (Thursday).
The young winger is set to undergo a medical at United's Carrington training base before , with a deal of around £15million plus add-ons agreed between the two clubs.
Sources close to the player was completing the finer details of a move, after initial terms had been agreed last month.
The 21-year-old will become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first signing since taking the United job. The Norwegian replaced Jose Mourinho in December last year and guided United to a sixth placed finish in the Premier League.
Solskjaer has since put forward his preference for signing young British players in this summer transfer window and James will fit that bill, having shone for Ryan Giggs' Wales and in the Championship last season.
MEN Sport understands Swansea also expect to make an announcement confirming James' departure today.
The Welshman almost moved to Leeds United on January deadline day earlier this year, before a deal fell through as outgoing Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins pulled the plug at the 11th hour shortly before resigning.
New Swans head honcho Trevor Birch is resigned to losing James and he will make the leap to becoming a Premier League player and should join United's squad for their pre-season tour to Australia, Singapore and China in July.
