Liverpool are now 22 points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
The Reds extended their lead in pole position by beating Norwich on Saturday courtesy of Sadio Mane's goal but City brought the deficit back from 25 after playing their game in hand against West Ham and winning 2-0.
Jurgen Klopp's men are next in action on February 24 when they host the Hammers themselves, with Pep Guardiola’s side having a chance to further reduce the arrears to 19 points having played a game more when they travel to Leicester on February 22.
Liverpool have now amassed 76 points after 26 games, City have also played 26 matches and sit on 54 points while third-placed Leicester City have 50 points after 26 games.
The maximum number of points City can now achieve is 90 - provided they win all 12 of their remaining matches.
For Leicester, the highest possible amount is now 86 if they win 12 in a row.
Klopp's side also have 12 games left in their season, and Liverpool could achieve a maximum of 112 points by the end of the campaign.
However, they know that 91 points is the magic number to win the title at this point in the campaign.
Therefore, the European and world champions only need to win five of their remaining 12 games to win the Premier League, no matter what any other side in the top-flight does.
The Reds' fifth game from this point is against Crystal Palace at Anfield.
But should City drop points in their next two fixtures, that could come forward to a clash with Everton at Goodison Park or even at home to Bournemouth on March 7.
