A yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been issued for Leeds this weekend.
The city is set for a cold, snowy and wet weekend, with the Weather Channel forecasting a mix of rain and snow.
The Met Office has issued a three-day snow and ice warning for large parts of the north and east of the UK, with snow showers expected between Saturday and Monday.
The Met Office warning is in place from 3pm on Saturday through to midnight, from 3pm Sunday through to midnight on Monday.
The forecaster is warning of delays on the roads, potential for power cuts and 'a slight chance that some rural communities could become cut off'.
Even if the snow doesn't return to Leeds, the city is set for a cold, wet weekend, with temperatures that feel as cold as minus 5C and rain predicted for most of Saturday and throughout Sunday morning.

The current Met Office forecast says light snow will continue into Tuesday morning before becoming overcast.
Heavy snow is also currently forecast for Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, but this could change.
