Christmas is only a few weeks away and whilst many are doing their Christmas shopping, plenty of us are looking forward to all the festive TV on the horizon.
One of the best known annual events is the Queen's speech which airs each year.
However, this year could mark a major breaking of tradition when it comes to speech.
According to Edinburgh Live, the Royal Christmas Message, which has been broadcast on BBC One ever since the first one back in 1932, may have a new home.
Channel 4 has put forth a bold offer to steal away the iconic Christmas broadcast from the BBC.
The news comes not long after Her Majesty had to retreat from public appearances in the last couple of months on doctor's orders due to her health.
A source told the Sun: “Bosses are continually looking to expand the broadcaster’s remit and give viewers fresh and unexpected programming.
“They've made it clear they would like to film the speech this year — especially if the Royals punish the Beeb and withdraw their rights, although that does seem unlikely.
"But the Royal family have shown they have backbone and won’t stand for much more nonsense."
So what do we know about the speech so far?
