It's soon time for the Paralympic Games to commence - the biggest Para sports event in the world.
Tokyo will make history as the first city to stage the Paralympic Games for a second time, having first hosted the event in 1964.

Billions of viewers around the world will tune in to watch with more than 22 sports taking place, including badminton and taekwondo, which will make their debuts this year.
The Paralympic mascot is called Someity, which comes from someiyoshino, a popular cherry blossom variety and additionally echoes the English phrase “so mighty”, according to the official Tokyo 2020 website.
So when does it start, what time is the opening ceremony, and how can you watch it on TV?

Paralympics opening ceremony
The Paralympics begins on Tuesday, August 24, which will be marked with an opening ceremony.
The closing ceremony is two weeks later on Sunday, September 5.
How to watch it on TV
Channel 4 has the coverage rights in the UK for the Paralympic Games.
The opening ceremony starts at 11.30am.
