When is the Ozark season 4 release date and what to expect from the new series?

The star-studded Netflix crime drama starring award-winning actors Jason Bateman and Laura Linney is coming back.

The trailer for season four of Ozark shows us Marty and Wendy Byrde delivering a warning that the Navarro cartel has been made aware heroin production has resumed and that their response will be “quick and brutal”.

The trailer also tells us that “No one gets out clean” promising an action-packed series.

NME’s Alex Flood gave the first part of the new season 4/5 stars, stating: “Jason Bateman and Laura Linney are faultless once again as Marty and Wendy, who rush about anxiously cutting deals that fall through five minutes later.”

When is the Ozark season 4 release date?

In an unusual move for a big Netflix series, season four of Ozark will be released in two parts, with each consisting of seven episodes. Part one will be released on Friday, January 21.

What to expect from Ozark season 4?

Outside of the trailer, details on the plot of season four are light. Still, the official Netflix press release gives the following synopsis (which provides us with the cast members for the new series): “Ozark is a thrilling drama set in the present-day and follows the Byrde family’s journey from their normal, suburban Chicago life to their dangerous criminal enterprise in the Ozarks, Missouri.

“The series explores capitalism, family dynamics, and survival through the eyes of (anything but) ordinary Americans.

“The new season stars Emmy Award winner Jason Bateman, Emmy Award winner Laura Linney, Emmy Award winner Julia Garner, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner, Charlie Tahan, Jessica Frances Dukes, Lisa Emery, Felix Solis, Damian Young, Alfonso Herrera, Adam Rothenberg, John Bedford Lloyd, Joseph Sikora, Bruno Bichir, CC Castillo, Katrina Lenk, Bruce Davison, Ali Stroker and Veronica Falcón.”
