When is the next green list review and the countries at risk of moving from green to amber

Travel, whether that is for holidays, business or family reunions, has been on the minds of Brits for some time.

We are now all accustomed to the travel traffic light list of red, amber and green signalling a country's presumed safety level when it comes to coronavirus. We are also aware of the quarantine restrictions that are imposed based on a destination's status on the list.

But when is the next review of the traffic light system? And which countries are at risk of moving from green to amber?

The Government is reviewing the traffic light system every three weeks which means the next update should be either on Wednesday, August 4, or Thursday, August 5.

It has already made clear that countries can change between lists without warning should conditions change and, at the moment, there are a number of green countries currently on the watchlist which means they are at risk of moving from green to the amber list.

So, if you are thinking of booking a trip, make sure you stay up to date.
