Whether the heatwave has you dreaming of a day off in the sunshine, or you're just hoping to enjoy a long weekend away, days off have become even more precious during the turbulent times of the pandemic.
The good news is that - while you may have plenty of annual leave to play with - there are still some 'free' days off with three more bank holidays planned in the UK (four if you're living in Scotland).
The next bank holidays in the UK will be in August, when the weather is (usually) still sunny and warm, so you can make the most of the UK's beautiful beaches and national parks if you're planning to be outdoors.
For Scotland, this falls on Monday 2nd August . For the rest of the UK, the next bank holiday will be Monday 30th August , at the end of the school summer holidays.

Bank holidays for the rest of 2021
- St Andrew's Day in Scotland on Tuesday 30th November
- Because of the days on which Christmas falls this year, the Christmas Day and Boxing Day bank holidays will be on Monday 27th December and Tuesday 28th December.
