In England and Wales we enjoy eight bank holidays throughout the year, while if you live in Scotland you will have nine.
Northern Ireland meanwhile enjoys a whopping 10 bank holidays each year.

When is the next bank holiday?
Good news for everyone who enjoys some time off - we don't have long at all to wait until the next bank holiday.
For England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, the next long weekend is the Early May bank holiday on May 8.
It would have been on May 4, but this bank holiday has been pushed back four days to coincide with the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
The following bank holiday will be on May 25 - the Spring bank holiday.
How many bank holidays do we get a year?
In England and Wales, you will enjoy eight bank holidays over the course of the year.
In Scotland this jumps to nine, while if you're lucky enough to call Northern Ireland home you will enjoy a grand total of 10 bank holidays throughout the year.
