If you're looking forward to another long weekend, the second Bank Holiday in May is just around the corner.
Scots will be eagerly awaiting the next opportunity for a much-deserved break, with further restrictions eased on everyday life.
The Spring Bank Holiday falls on the final Monday in May, which this year lands on May 31 across Scotland and the rest of the UK nations.
The second day off in May - following the early Bank Holiday on May 3 - is observed by Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales unlike other long weekends which differ.
Scotland has nine Bank Holidays throughout the year in 2021, while England and Wales have seven and Northern Ireland gets 10.

When is the next mid-term break in schools?

This will vary across councils. To see what dates apply to your child’s school, head to the tool checker on mygov.scot.
