When is The Masked Dancer UK on as cast announced for first series?

ITV has announced the character line-up for the first series of The Masked Dancer UK.

The new series will see celebrity contestants perform unique dances, whilst covered from head to toe in extravagant, colourful costumes leaving viewers and judges guessing their identities.

Like its sister show, The Masked Singer UK, the competition will see twelve celebrities take to the stage in a mask, only this time they will be dancing instead of belting out tunes.

Ahead of The Masked Dancer airing for the first time in the UK, ITV has confirmed the costumes, judges and host taking part in the show.

Who are The Masked Dancer judges?

Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan and Davina McCall will be returning to the panel after judging The Masked Singer earlier this year.

Joining them is Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse, replacing Rita Ora.

Oti said: "I'm a huge fan of The Masked Singer and I loved U.S. Masked Dancer so I just can't wait to start on this show... It's going to be so much fun!!!"

Joel Dommett will present the show.

He said: "Well, this is set to be an amazing fun twist…will someone do the twist?! The Masked Dancer is that little bit of silly fun our lives need right now.

"I'm looking forward to some incredible costumes, epic performances and accidentally saying Masked Singer."

When does The Masked Dancer UK start?

An official air date hasn't been announced but ITV has said it will air this month in May so there's not that long to wait.
