When is the John Lewis advert on TV? Heartwarming campaign set to air to millions this weekend

After much anticipation, this year's John Lewis Christmas advert has launched and, just like in years gone by it's been met by a huge reaction.

Over the past decade, the famous department store has treated us to fairy tales and fantasy with the likes of The Bear and the Hare, Mozz the Monster and 2019's Excitable Edgar the Dragon warming cockles in the run up to Christmas.

But this year, John Lewis bosses have decided to focus on the very real situation the country still finds itself in due to coronavirus and celebrates acts of kindness during the incredibly tough time.

The theme of the John Lewis 2020 advert is Give A Little Love, with it being soundtracked by the original song - A Little Love - from Brits Awards Rising Star Celeste.

It premiered on social media at 7am on Friday, November 13 and quickly generated a big response on Twitter.

And there are sure to be even more reactions when the advert makes its expected TV debut during The Voice UK final on Saturday night.

Speaking about getting the chance to colloborate with John Lewis, Celeste said: “I felt really honoured to be asked to take part. The message that everyone really wanted to get across was the idea if you’re kind and giving, then these little acts hopefully can ricochet and make the world a better place.”

Celeste follows in the foosteps of the likes of Ellie Goulding, Lily Allen and Elbow who have all previously recorded songs for the John Lewis' annual festive campaign.
