When is the John Lewis advert 2019 going to be released?

This year's John Lewis Christmas advert is currently all some people can talk about and its release date is sooner than many may think.

The advert is expected to be released tomorrow, with its plot, song choice and singer revealed after weeks of wondering.

There is always so much hype around the advert, especially after last year's included Sir Elton John and his hit Your Song.

Yesterday the first major clue was dropped about the story behind this year's advert when the Twitter account @ExcitableEdgar appeared, which many believe is teasing this year's John Lewis Christmas advert.

Its heading photo uses the same text style as John Lewis and says "Meet Edgar 14.11.19. #ExcitableEdgar"

In its bio it says: "Meet Edgar! 14.11.19 Loves all things festive. Christmas trees, Christmas food, Christmas snow, Christmas lights…"

What do we know about the advert so far?

We can't say too much at this stage, but more information is expected early tomorrow.

If Edgar is the star of this year's advert then fans can expect John Lewis to stock soft character toys like it has done in previous years and other merchandise.

Where will the advert be released?

Typically newspapers will get a preview of what the advert is about and the story behind it first - this means if you bookmark this page we'll be able to bring you the clip as soon as we receive it.

Make sure you've joined our dedicated Christmas in Liverpool Facebook Group too as we'll post the advert in there as soon as it's published.

John Lewis' YouTube channel details

In previous years John Lewis has uploaded its advert to its YouTube channel in the morning.

It's here where fans can watch past adverts too including last year's The Boy and The Piano.
