When is The Great British Sewing Bee 2021 on and when was it filmed?

The Great British Sewing Bee 2021 returns tonight to BBC One for the show's seventh series.

It will see 12 keen sewing amateurs go head to head in order to impress Savile Row tailor Patrick Grant and fashion designer Esme Young through a series of challenges.

Comedian Joe Lycett is returning to present the series, it's his third stint hosting The Bee.

This year's series was filmed in September and October 2020 under strict Covid-19 protocols, with the sewers, presenters, judges and some crew forming "close contact cohorts".

When is The Great British Sewing Bee 2021 on?

The new series starts on Wednesday, April 14 at 9pm on BBC One.

The Great British Sewing Bee 2021 series is ten episodes long and will air at the same time each week.

In a post, The Great British Sewing Bee's official Twitter account said: "Our needles are threaded, bobbins spooled and buttons buffed... The Great British Sewing Bee starts tonight at 9pm on @BBCOne. #SewingBee."
