When is the FA Cup semi-final draw? How to watch as Man City and Man United discover opponents

Manchester United will be hoping to join rivals Manchester City in the draw for the semi-final of the FA Cup later today.

The two teams have not contested a Manchester derby in the FA Cup since Sir Alex Ferguson's side extracted a degree of revenge in the third round some nine months after losing the previous season's semi-final to City. Another reunion in the final four of this year's edition could be on the cards after the Blues did their bit to advance from the quarter-finals.

City beat Burnley 6-0 on Saturday night to book their place. Meanwhile, United host Fulham today in the late FA Cup kick-off.

Here's all you need to know about the draw for the semi-finals.

When is the draw?

The draw will take place on Sunday, March 19. Viewers on BBC One in the UK will be able to watch following the conclusion of Brighton and Hove Albion and Grimsby Town's tie, which kicks off at 2:15pm. This means United could know their potential semi-final opponents before they take to the field against Fulham at 4:30pm. The Reds or Fulham are ball number two, while City will be ball number one.

Who could be in the draw?

City and United are the only members of the top four remaining. Brighton and Hove Albion, welcome League Two team Grimsby Town to the south coast on Sunday. While it would be some feat should Grimsby reach the semis, there is guaranteed to be at least one Championship club in the last four with promotion chasing Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers meeting on Sunday (12noon).

When are the semi-final ties?

Both matches will take place on the weekend of April 22/23. United's tie will need to be on the Sunday given they will be in Europa League action against Sevilla on the proceeding Thursday.
