FA Cup second round draw ball numbers confirmed as teams await 20 ties

The first round proper of the FA Cup threw up its fair share of stories over the weekend.

Whilst cup shocks were relatively thin on the ground, there was plenty of drama and goals aplenty.

One of the biggest upsets saw non-league part-timers St Albans City dump out League Two high-fliers Forest Green Rovers on Sunday.

Elsewhere, on Saturday League Two side Mansfield knocked out two-time winners Sunderland. Other highlights saw Buxton dump out fellow non-league side York with a 1-0 win in their first game in the competition proper in almost 60 years.

This season sees the return of replays, up to and including the fourth round of the competition, and 12 ties so far have ended all-square meaning a return tie later this month.

Winners of first round games will net more than £22,000 with victory in the second round worth an extra £34,000 - vital income for many lower league clubs.
