When is the Europa Conference League draw as Aberdeen and Hibs go into second qualifying hat

Aberdeen and Hibs are set to find out who they will face as they get ready to represent Scotland in the first ever Europa Conference League.

The Premiership sides enter at the second qualifying round and there are some potentially tricky ties lying in wait.

Stephen Glass is only just in the door at Pittodrie but fans will be expecting an impact now he has had a summer to put his squad together.

He will be hoping to lead the Dons to their first European competition proper since the 2007/08 UEFA Cup and if he does that he will have some serious credit in the bank before the Premiership season even kicks off.

For Hibs, meanwhile, it's all about bouncing back after their disappointing finish to last season.

Their third-placed finish in the Premiership came off the back of a strong campaign but defeat to St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup final meant they missed out on a Europa League spot.

And Jack Ross will be out to prove he is still the man to lead the club in the long-term with a prolonged run in Europe.

Here is everything you need to know about Wednesday's draw.

When and where will the draw take place?

The draw takes place on Tuesday, June 16 at UEFA HQ in Switzerland. The action kicks off at 12.30 (BST) and will be live streamed via the UEFA website, social media and YouTube channels and of course in our live blog.

How does the draw work?

The Europa Conference League draw is split two sections: the Champions Path and the Main Path.

Aberdeen and Hibs only need to worry about the Main Path, however, as the Champions Path is a separate matter for teams dropping down from Champions League and Europa League qualifying.

The Main Path is the more straightforward of the two. The teams are split into seeded and unseeded pots and drawn against one another at random.

Hibs and Aberdeen are both seeded.

Who can Aberdeen and Hibs face?

There are 90 teams in Aberdeen and Hibs' section of the draw – 57 who enter at this stage and 33 who will qualify from the first round.

The Scottish sides could draw any of the 45 unseeded teams.

It means they are likely to land a winnable tie, with teams from Romania, Azerbaijan and even San Marino remaining in the competition at this stage.

But the likes of Elfsborg, Hammarby, and Dynamo Brest could provide tough tests for the Premiership pair.

When will the games be played?

The games will take place over two legs on July 22 and 29.
