How to unlock the Cheshire Cat in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Cheshire Cat Disney Dreamlight Valley.

The Wonderland Whimsy update welcomed the Alice in Wonderland realm to Disney Dreamlight Valley. But while we could move Alice in straight away, the Cheshire Cat takes a little more energy and effort. You need to complete numerous tasks before he even fathoms moving in, but when you've made your way through the checklist rest assured things get a little easier.

Before you can start the final quest to get the Cheshire Cat to move in, you need to have already completed Alice's "Leaving Wonderland" quest, Mannequinn Madness, and the Chaos in the Kitchen quest. If you haven't done this, you won't be able to access the Cat Tree Catastrophe mission. With that out of the way, here's what you need to do to finally get this frustrating feline in your valley.

How to complete the Cat Tree Catastrophe quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To start the Cat Tree Catastrophe quest you need to speak to Alice. She'll explain that Moana needs your help and there's an issue with her boat. Speak to Moana, and she'll show you that her canoe is covered in purple catfish. Unsurprisingly, this is another trick from the Cheshire Cat.

Take a photo with the catfish on her canoe and they'll disappear. You then need to find five additional purple catfish off the coast of Dazzle Beach. These can only be fished up from orange ripples, so focus your efforts there. All five ripples spawned at once for me, so I didn't need to keep coming back to find the last few fish. When you've caught them all, go back to Alice.

Alice will then suggest visiting her house to discuss what else you can do. When you get there, the Cheshire Cat will be in the middle of the room. Talk to him, and he'll ask you to help him find a small version of his tree. Go into Alice's bedroom and there's a painting of the Cheshire Cat's tree tucked behind the bookcase. Take a picture with it, and a small version of the tree will spawn on the floor.

Take this back to the Cheshire Cat, and he will say that he's more of an outdoor cat. So, go out and place the tree anywhere in your valley and this will become his home. You'll have a brief conversation about how he's finally moving in, but this won't initiate any "Welcome" screen as you'd see with another villager. You will be able to give gifts and start working through his friendship quests though, not that he deserves any time of day after the stress he's caused in the valley. But at least the chaos stops here!
