When is the Cheltenham Festival over? The time and details for the final race of the four-day meeting

Sick of people shouting at the TV, of all the betting jargon, of losing your money on horses running about a field, of all the talk of riding and whipping?

Whatever your grievance, many will be glad to hear that the Cheltenham Festival ends for another year today, Friday March 19.

The four-day Festival seems to become bigger every year, and more than ever it has consumed sport headlines since it began on Tuesday. But its ending today is a certainty.

Getting underway 1.20 for the Triumph Hurdle, the highlight on the seven-race card will be the Cheltenham Gold Cup at 3.05pm when Al Boum Photo will look for a third successive win in the race.

It doesn't quite stop there though! After the Gold Cup there are still three more races, with the very last race of the 2021 Festival scheduled to go off at 4.50pm.

After that that is that! Then there is the Aintree Grand National meeting, the Punchestown Festival and the flat season gets into full swing again...
