When and what time is the Caroline Flack documentary on Channel 4?

Caroline Flack's family and friends are set to remember her a new Channel 4 documentary.

The hour-long special, titled Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death, was announced in November last year and will air this week.

It will hear from those closest to the late Love Island host including mum Christine, twin sister Jody and friends Olly Murs and Dermot O'Leary.

The documentary, which airs Wednesday (March 17) at 9pm on Channel 4, is said to delve beyond the headlines to reveal the woman behind the public persona, as well as exploring the pressures that fame, mental health, press and social media had on Caroline throughout her life.

It comes just over a year after Caroline took her own life, aged 40, in February last year.

In a trailer for the documentary released last month Caroline's mother, Christine, is heard saying: "She was my little girl. It doesn't actually seem real," as footage of the presenter as a little girl is shown.

Christine and Jody also discuss how Caroline "found heartbreak impossible" and would fall into a negative pattern of behaviour after each break up she suffered.

Caroline's close friend and former Xtra Factor co-host Olly Murs is also shown breaking down in tears.

He says: "I just wish I could have told her not to do it. I never got the opportunity to do that."

Caroline's family are speaking in a bid to encourage viewers to be more open about their mental health struggles and seek help where necessary.

"The documentary made this year bearable. It was therapy for us," Christine said.
