Cardiff City, Swansea City and Newport County are in action in the first round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
The Bluebirds are facing Sutton United in the Welsh capital, the Swans head down the M4 to clash with Reading in Berkshire while the Exiles are in Suffolk playing against Ipswich Town.
With the domestic season just one game old it seems strange to kick off a cup campaign so soon., but should any of the Welsh teams progress this evening they will go into the hat for the second round.
When is the Carabao Cup second round draw?
The draw for the second round will take place on Wednesday evening (August 11).
It will be conducted live on Sky Sports following the conclusion of Leyton Orient versus Queens Park Rangers, which kicks off at 7.45pm.
The draw will once again be regionalised on a north/south basis.
