When is the Britain's Got Talent final? Finalists set to be revealed after long break

Britain's Got Talent is finally back on our screens on Sunday night after what seems like forever since we saw this year's hopefuls audition.

Just like nearly every other TV show, BGT has been massively disrupted by coronavirus, with the pandemic throwing a massive spanner in the works pf this year's show.

Fortunately, the all audition stages were wrapped up before lockdown, with all of this year's Golden Buzzer acts chosen by the judges and Ant and Dec.

And on Sunday we'll find out who will be joining them in the live shows for this year, which, in a big change for 2020, will be filmed without a studio audience, as acts battle it out for a place in the final.

The first of the semis will take place on Saturday, September 5 and, in another big Britain's Got Talent change for this year, the live shows will be over consecutive weekends rather than air night after night of a course of one week as usual.

Once all of the finalists have been selected, the Britain's Got Talent final will air in October, with it being rumoured to clash with the return of Strictly Come Dancing, which itself is having to make changes due to coronavirus.

As already reported, Simon Cowell will be missing in action as he recovers from a bike accident close to his LA home.

He will be replaced by a man who knows a thing or two about doing well on BGT - Ashley Banjo, who won the show in 2009 with his dance group Diversity.
