When is The Apprentice 2019 on TV?

The Apprentice is back for its 15th series.

A whole new bunch of 16 candidates will battle it out to earn Lord Alan Sugar's £250,000 investment for their business.

As always, sidekicks Karren Brady and Claude Littner will return with their favourable sarcasm and raising of eyebrows.

And the BBC One Bafta-winning business show promises to be better than ever with even more extravagant group challenges.

This year brings together a maker of alcohol-infused ice-cream and an account manager who are both from Manchester, and a digital marketing manager from Lancashire.

Episodes will include the hopefuls being whisked away to Cape Town to run bespoke tours, designing a theme park ride, and entering the world of music management by marketing an unsigned artist.

When is it on and what time?

The Apprentice starts on Wednesday, October 2 at 9pm on BBC One.

Usually an hour long, the first episode will be a special extended show, which means BBC News will be pushed back.

Comedian Tom Allen is the new host of the spin-off show The Apprentice: You’re Fired, which will follow on BBC Two.

Is there a trailer?

If you can't quite wait until then, then you can read all about the hopefuls taking part here.

This year's trailer is a spoof on the notoriously failed Fire Festival with the play on words 'Fired Festival'.

Two entrepreneurs pitch the event to the board, but they're less than impressed.
