When is the 2019 Punchestown Festival? Dates, race schedules, Ladies Day, TV info, betting odds, ticket info and more

The Punchestown Festival will put a cap on another fantastic Irish jumps season.

The five-day extravaganza is a feast of the highest quality racing and one of the social events of the year.

You don't have to be knowledgeable about the racing to have a great time at the Kildare venue.

And if you are thinking about heading along, here are all the key details:

When does it start?

The opening day of the festival takes place on Tuesday 30 April.

When does it finish?

The festival lasts for five days with the final day taking place on Saturday 4 May.

What time is the first race?

Racing gets underway at 3.40pm each day except Saturday when the first race goes to post at 2.35pm.

What time is the last race?

Tuesday: 7.15pm

Wednesday: 7.45pm

Thursday:  7.45pm

Friday: 7.45pm

Saturday: 6.40pm

What channel is it on?

The racing will be shown on RTE 2 with their coverage on the opening day beginning at 4pm. All of the races will also be shown live on Racing TV.

The Irish Mirror Sport will be covering all of the action with a live blog each day.

How can I get tickets?

Tickets are still available to buy via the festival website with prices ranging from €30 for general admission to €40 for the reserved enclosure.

You should also be able to purchase tickets at the turnstiles on the day of the races.

When is Ladies Day?

Ladies Day takes place on Friday, with the winner of the Best Dressed competition also named on the same day.

The winner will attend an exclusive invitational screening of the 25 James Bond movie in Paris in April 2020. Them and a friend will also enjoy a trip to the Bollinger Estate and Champagne Libraries, France.

The trip includes an overnight stay in the historic town of Reims, the capital of the Champagne region, Michelin dining and luxury overnight stay in Paris.

On top of that, they will have a private chauffeur, champagne lunch experience and a year’s supply of Bollinger Champagne.
