After the 1-0 defeat to Wycombe on Saturday, it's an excellent chance for the Black Cats to get back to winning ways against a Tranmere side that is struggling for form and with injuries.

Sunderland are without Charlie Wyke, who picked up an ankle injury against Wycombe, and the suspended Aiden McGeady, after the Republic of Ireland winger collected his fifth booking of the season to earn a one-match ban.
